Ocean County (CAT) Community Partnership for a Tobacco Free New Jersey

The Long Beach Island Municipal Alliance is a member of the Ocean County (CAT) Community Partnership for a Tobacco Free New Jersey, a collaborative of community-based organizations, schools, municipal agencies and concerned citizens joined together with a common mission to effect behavioral, social and environmental change regarding tobacco issues within our communities.

The "Smoke-Free School Grounds" signs displayed at local schools were provided by the CAT.

The American Cancer Society has presented the Coalition with a 2003 Great American Smokeout award. This award honors outstanding individuals and organizations throughout New Jersey as leaders and partners with the ACS in support of smoke-free initiatives.

Any organization or individual looking for more information or interested in becoming a coalition member may call Albert Petroni, Community Organizer, Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council of Ocean, Inc. (ADACO) at 732-367-5515 or by completing the contact form found on the CAT website.
